Hello there! Here is a comprehensive list of my OC's, and a little bit about them. These OC's were created for my various projects, like my book or the little short film I'm making.
This is the protagonist of my book (whose title is still to be determined). In the book she starts as the Vice Luminary of the Astraea League, before having to cope with the transition after the High Luminary (her best friend, Azur Corale) goes missing. Katelyn has many years of law under her belt, and were one of the "Impeccable Three" who organized the overthrowing of the previously authoritarian Astraea government.
Callisto is one of the mentor characters supporting the protagonist as Katelyn works through her ascension to the position of High Luminary. Callie is Azur Corale's half-sister, and the High Luminary of the Chaos League. She comes off as lazy, silly, and even obnixious at first, appearing as though she is a polar opposite of the protagonist. But her connections and quick thinking proves to be helpful to Katelyn throughout the search for Azur.
Mavis is the leader of the Minerva League and the founder of Zyrtech. Standing at 3'7, Mavis had always dreamed of having longer legs, so she sought out to make a pair of robotic ones. In her journey as a robotics major, she realized she grew fond of altering the components of computers and ships. Her experiments began to shift away from technology alone and more to the idea of people being one with technology. She ran for Minerva Vice Luminary, and upon promotion, she transformed the League into the dominating technology metropolis it is today. Mavis is one of the mentor characters. She proposes her idea that their species (human + aethren hybrid) are able to control their body's electricity, given time and practice.
Zoestra is the last full-blood Aethren of the entire population. Zoe is a fairly minor character in the first book. She's the adopted heiress of the Nova League, and has been the head and founder of many interstellar explorations.
Azur is the High Luminary of the Astraea League. She keeps strong beliefs in democracy, and believes that a government is best run by multiple people and perspectives, and that governments should be run by the people that they serve. Azur was the second of the Impeccable Three, and granted the title of High Luminary after Katelyn forfeitted in their electoral debate. Azur was described as the "shooting star" of the Leagues at the time, as the overthrowing thousand-year-reign of authoritarianism was a much more difficult task than it should have been. But nonetheless, she persisted. The Astraea League was not the only League that underwent a reformation. The new reign brought changes to the other Leagues as well.
Raised in the unnecessarily religious Oni culture, Titania fled the family cult at age 16 to seek independence. In her upbringing, Titania joined the Ante-League Council in the Cooperative party, taking the roles of both Ambassador of Ante League Nations but also the Minister of Foreign Affairs. However, she still works closely with the Leagues and their Luminaries in order to maintain peace between League and Non-League nations. Titania is yet another mentor character to Katelyn's journey, serving as the neutral party to League meetings and giving counsel to those who seek it.
Mari was raised in a home of celebrities and pop stars. Feeling desperate to shine among her family of brighter stars, Marigold joined the Sonder League at 16 years old, and managed to finish her medical schooling by 23. She completed a doctorate in physics as well as a degree in law, and became a prosperous doctor-lawyer. Mari was a standout citizen in her small town of Lauvet, Constantia. She ran for mayor, then district governor, then eventually President of Constantia. Upon losing her presidential election, Marigold ran for Vice Luminary of Sonder, and shortly after became the leader. During her leadership, she's resided to teaching medical studies at the League Prep Academy.
This is another character that doesn't play a big role in the story. Just like all the others that precede her on this page, Reagan is yet another politician. She is one of the four leaders of the Balance League. Reagan is a bodybuilder who took on politics to escape the stress of sports. She, along with the other Balance leaders, had gone through the League Prep Academy, as required to run for anything in the Balance League. She had been chosen for a full scholarship to go through the Balance law courses, for free. After becoming a Luminary officially, Reagan decided to use her power to help new Luminaries feel welcome, even those from other Leagues. She quickly became buddies with the newly elected Callisto, and will often travel with her.
